Job Description PURPOSE & SCOPE: Jobs at this level are responsible for the review of enquiry documentation and the Scope of Work and for carrying out allocated duties related to the preparation, checking and issue of Engineering deliverables. This can include site visits and close liaison with the Design Office Coordinator.. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reports to Head of Discipline / Engineering Manager (Process & Safety) and works under his overall supervision.
• Responsible for materials and related corrosion engineering activities for the assigned Project / Enquiry.
• During Enquiry Phase, reviews material selection / corrosion risks assessment studies & other relevant documents including painting & coating requirements, etc. and verifies the correctness of material selection and corrosion control concepts as specified in the FEED documents.
• Prepares man-hours estimates for the project scope. Develops the man-hours norms, if required.
• Calculates and interprets corrosion rates for CO2, CO2-H2S containing hydrocarbon process streams using software such as ECE, PREDICT etc. to confirm the suitability of specified materials in a particular application.
• Shall ensure that material description on the Process Data Sheets, Mechanical Data Sheets and piping classes on P&IDs is consistent with Materials Selection Diagrams/ Material Selection Report and other relevant project specifications.
• Prepare scope document for specialised studies / sub contracts related to materials & corrosion engineering works as required and participate in technical bid evaluation.
• Shall update or develop Material & Corrosion reports such as Material Selection Report (MSR), Corrosion Risk Assessment Study (CRAS), Corrosion Control Manual (CCM), Risk Based Inspection (RBI) study and relevant specifications as per project scope. Also participates in Client’s review and approval process.

Skills Required MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Degree in Chemical, Metallurgical/ Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent from a reputed institute
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Materials & Corrosion Engineering in in Oil and Gas industry
• Experience of working in Specialized Consultancy organization and/or EPC Contractors team is preferred
• Excellent intrapersonal and communication skills in English (written & verbal)
• Has excellent skill of report writing and possess brilliant communication skill
