For the 3rd time National Petroleum Construction company grabbed the Best Business Performance Award in the Construction Category.
Organised under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry successfully concluded the 6th Cycle of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award by honoring UAE-based companies vying for seven different categories during a high profile award presentation ceremony held at Madinat Jumeirah on Wednesday.

National Petroleum Construction Company won the silver award in the category of Occupational Health & Safety for its excellent performance for the past year. The award was presented to NPCC for good accident records and for Company’s overarching Health and Safety Management Systems, including important HSE practices such as strong HSE leadership and workforce involvement. This award is another testimony to NPCC excellence in the field of HSE.The Royal Society for Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) - held its annual ceremony for recognizing outstanding achievement by worldwide companies in the field of Occupational Health and Safety. The RoSPA Awards Ceremony – the leading scheme of its type - was held on Tuesday May 17, 2011 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel.

National Petroleum Construction Company won the prestigious Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award (SKEA) 2009 in the construction sector. At a largely-attended presentation ceremony held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, Shaikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, presented the award to the Aqeel A. Madhi (CEO).

National Petroleum Construction Company won the coveted Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award (SKEA) 2005/2006. His Highness, General Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, presented the SKEA awards to Aqeel A. Madhi (CEO) in a glittering awards ceremony held at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

National Petroleum Construction Company won the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (MRM) Business Award 2006 organized by Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI). His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai handed over the award to Aqeel A. Madhi(CEO). The MRM Business Award 2006 ceremony was attended by a large number of economic figures and dignitaries, ministers, undersecretaries, ambassadors and consuls to the UAE, as well as heads of local government departments, members of Dubai's economic and executives councils, a number of DCCI Board of Directors, representatives of business councils and trading centers registered at the DCCI and a number of businessmen, CEOs and people of the press.

National Petroleum Construction Company has been approved by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance to the following "Quality Management System Standards" The Quality Management System is applicable to: Design, Procurement, Construction, installation, hook-up, commissioning and maintenance of offshore platforms,topsides, SPM, Marine terminals, on shore storage tanks, on shore Oil & Gas facilities, boilers and pressure vessels, submarine pipelines, pipe coating, land and hydrographic survey services.

National Petroleum Construction Company has been approved by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance to the following "Environmental Management System Standards" The Environmental Management System is applicable to" On-shore activities associated with Engineering, procurement, fabrication, pipe coating & construction activities for oil, gas and petrochemical fields in tha Arabian Gulf and International markets.

National Petroleum Construction Company has achieved the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS 18001) Certification from Lloyds Register - LRQA.Having Attained the OHSAS 18001, is a significant achievement on the part of NPCC and it is the third 'Assurance' certificate the Company has now earned including OHSAS 18001, over and above ISO 14001 and ISO 9001. Employees' health and safety is the highest priority for NPCC and we want to ensure that we take every step possible to make that a way of life within the company.

IPLOCA, the international Pipe-Line & Offshore Contractors Association, has awarded NPCC " Offshore Pipeline Contruction Safety Award for 2002" for outstanding safety performance.

Subsequent to the introduction of ISO 9001:2000, NPCC updated its Quality Management System to attend to the new ISO requirements. November 2003 NPCC achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification.

It is NPCC's policy to plan and build quality into its products and services, and verify by means of professional review, inspection and testing. In 1994, NPCC became the first major offshore construction contractor in the Eastern world to obtain approval for the latest and most stringent version of the ISO Certification Scheme: ISO-9001. Certification is seen as the formal confirmation of the quality reputation which NPCC has enjoyed internationally over the past three decades in the Industry.

NPCC's HSE Policy. As the direct result of management's commitment to quality and emphasis on safety, NPCC has received numerous distinguished awards and certification throughout its history. In 1989, NPCC qualified for the valued sword of Honor award by the British Safety Council (BSC) for being chosen as one of the top 30 safest companies in the world.
