Job Description
• Distributing the workload and ensuring implementation of quality procedures in all drafting activities within the discipline.
• Ensuring adherence to quality procedure for all uniformity in Design & drafting work
• Train drafting team on NEL quality systems / procedures.
• Shall implement Client specifications, governing codes & regulations for the project.
• Fulfil fabrication / installation contractor’s requirements for the project.
• Co-ordinate with other discipline to take care of the discipline requirement of the Design.
• Plan and monitor progress of Drawings / 3D modelling in a project.
• Check design drawings and MTO.
• Provide opportunities to the designers & Draftsmen to optimize their performance in pursuit of the organization goals and maintain performance review system.
• Perform Inter-disciplinary checks on drawings from other disciplines.
• Review and provide comments on vendor drawings.
• Coordinate with client and yard
• Raise quality awareness in design & drafting team and to ensure compliance with the Engineering procedures and guidelines.
• Drive Continuous improvement program for all designers and draftsman in order to improve quality and efficiency.
• Identify strengths and weakness in the procedures and adopt a ‘Best Practice’ approach.
• Provide training & guidance to drafting personnel. Develop an in-house training program for drafting personnel in all disciplines.
• Perform Inter-discipline co-ordination to accomplish smooth functioning of engineering drafting group.
• Examine the drawings affected by the change and the implications on other disciplines, keeping in mind the project schedule, man-hours, and material impact in consultation with LDE’s.
• Help in 3D Model review.
• Ensures SDC & IDC reviews are performed in accordance with quality procedures.
• Monitoring inter discipline interface (Clashes) at various stages of the projects

Skills Required RELEVANT TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE (IN OFFSHORE OIL & GAS DESIGN):
• Jacket Framing Drawings
• Jacket Miscellaneous (BL, RP & CP, Mud-mat etc.)
• Deck Framing & Node Drawings
• Deck Misc. drawings (Access platform, equipment support etc.)
• Helideck & Building module Drawings
• Architectural Drawings / Review
• MTO / WCR
• Fab Shop Drawings (Preparation & Review)
• Field Layout
• Software: AUTOCAD, TEKLA, PDS, PDMS, MICROSTATION, SP3D, E3D (Any of these) NON-TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
