Job Description
|
1. Review all contract documentation to assess constructability, identify any potential areas for concern and to ensure any special features are brought to attention.
2. Participate in the development and review of the project-planning package in collaboration with Offshore Operations and the Project Manager to establish the sequence and duration of activities and optimize project execution.
3. Manage and direct all site construction activities ensuring that necessary resources are available offshore, all safety requirements are complied with and that work is carried out in line with the contract terms, specifications and according to ISO standards.
4. Review Engineering drawings, documents and deliverables relating to area of functional responsibility to assess constructability and consistency with contract requirements.
5. Prepare and/or review project specific and other procedures to ensure comprehensive cover of all project activities not addressed in the contract.
6. Participate in compiling the sub-contractor’s scope of work for non-service requirements and undertake bid evaluations, making recommendations where appropriate. Direct and monitor sub-contractor’s execution of works and performance.
7. Participate in preparing the client list of deliverables and progress plans; monitor performance against milestones.
8. Identify needs and initiate job instructions and variation proposals to ensure cost effective operations and compliance with contract.
9. Attend meetings with clients and follow up on approvals and instructions. Draft client correspondence for PM signature or signs and transmits under delegated authority for site matters
10. Participate in taking the necessary action to adjust the project schedule to account for changing priorities, delays and other contingencies, ensuring that costs are contained within approved budget levels and that contract execution is optimised.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 10 years ‘experience in offshore construction.
• Proven managerial ability.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
• Good negotiation and decision making skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English language skills.
• Excellent report writing skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
