Job Description Duties and Responsibilities:
• Review overall project scope of SmartPlant/AVEVA Schematic tools (SPI, SPEL, AVEVA Electrical/Instrumentation) and work with the Disciplines/Project Leads on implementation.
• Administration activities of SmartPlant/AVEVA Schematic software like Installation, Database creation, Project Management Environment and Plants/Area/Unit hierarchy, User Creation, Access Control, Specification and library creation, Drawing and reports templates configuration, Integration with other SmartPlant Enterprise/AVEVA tools like SP3D/E3D, SPPID, SPF etc.,
• Installation and administration of Schematic databases in ORACLE/MS-SQL
• User creation and access control
• Create/Manage Plants/Area/Unit hierarchy
• Experience in the resolution of errors
• Create Specifications, catalogues and reports to suit company/client standards
• Customize seed data to meet project requirements.
• Set-up and manage work-sharing with other offices.
• Maintain daily backups.
• Guide end-users in day-to-day activities.
• Automate user tasks wherever possible
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues.
• Preparation of project specific procedures for Schematic Tools (Electrical, Instrumentation & P&ID)
• Support multiple projects simultaneously with overlapping deadlines and configuration of Global Workshare Environment
• Contribute to the development of and adherence to company best practices.

Skills Required Qualifications
• Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years’ experience.
• Extensive knowledge in Schematic tools like SPI/SPEL and/or AVEVA Electrical/Instrumentation
• Exposure to other software like SPPID, Smart Plant Foundation, AVEVA P&ID/E3D/Engineering
• Exposure to integration between schematic and 3D tools
• Understanding of engineering workflow in an Oil & Gas EPC environment
• Strong computer background (working knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office, MS Access, Oracle, MS SQL)
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and documentation skills
