|
Role / Purpose:
Jobs at this level are responsible for planning, allocating tasks and leading Support Engineering team.
Provide supervision and coordination of activities, attends important meetings related to engineering systems/3D model reviews and prepare project-specific system administration procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Review overall scope of 3D CAD and work with the Discipline/Project Leads.
• Interface with leads of applicable technical disciplines on implementation
• Administration activities of SmartPlant 3D software like Installation, Database creation, Project Management Environment, Managing Site/Plants hierarchy, User Creation, Access Control, Approval Status, Reference data creation, Review generation, Drawing templates and Report Format creation, GAD extraction setup, Integration with other SmartPlant Enterprise tools like SPPID, SPMAT, SPF etc., and Resolution of “ToDoList” errors
• Create and maintain SP3D/PDS Projects.
• Create Specifications, catalogues and components to suit company/client standards
• Customize seed data to meet project requirements.
• Coordinate the establishment of PDS design and modeling areas.
• Handle Interference checking and coordination with various disciplines
• Create plotting and PDS Drawing Manager settings.
• Configure ISOGEN and PCF/IDF file generation to meet project specific requirements.
• Run various types of reports (equipment, MTO) during course of project.
• Set-up and manage work-sharing activities.
• Maintain daily backups.
• Implement and manage project interference detection.
• Guide day-to-day modeling activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SP3D/PDS related issues.
• Creating Plant Walk through and animations using SmartPlant Review
• Maintain SmartPlant Review schedules
• Preparation of project specific procedures for SP3D/PDS

| Skills Required
|
• Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years experience.
• 3D CAD knowledge
• Exposure to other software like SPPID, SP Foundation, AVEVA PDMS, E3D preferable
• Understanding of engineering workflow in an EPC environment
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Strong computer background (working knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office, MS
• Access, Oracle, MS SQL)
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and documentation skills
