Job Description
• Review and provide HSE inputs on tender documents for mega / major projects.
• Develop project specific HSE plans with clear targets, objectives, KPIs and emergency procedures.
• Lead project specific HSE operational activities.
• Ensure that all project specific critical activities are risk assessed and control measures are applied before execution.
• Conduct project HSE / HSEMS / EMS (ISO 14001) and OHSAS 18001 audits.
• Conduct Behavioural Safety Audits (BSA) and high profile tours as per HSEMS guidelines.
• Audit subcontractors for compliance with HSE systems and procedures.
• Manage activities undertaken by subordinates.
• Identify HSE training needs for subordinates.
• Represent the company in client’s / subcontractor’s HSE meetings.
• Develop and manage HSE awareness campaigns.
• Develop Terms of Reference (TOR) for Project specific serious incidents and participate in the investigation.
• Liaison with Project Management Team (PMT) & client representatives to ensure project specific HSE requirements are identified clearly.
• Create and implement project specific HSE incentive schemes.
• Responsible for provision of HSE leadership and direction to the project HSE team and their continued professional development to meet the needs of the project.
• Coordinate requirements on the results of Project HSE Studies (i.e. HAZID, HSEIA, PHSERS, HAZOP, etc.).
• Ensure that the levels of emergency readiness on the Project are established, maintained and tested on regular basis.
• Advise project management on the determination of safe methods of working and systems to identify hazards. Advise upon the production of written method statements, risk assessments and HSE rules and on the arrangements to bring these to the attention of the workforce.

Skills Required
• Bachelor’s degree of science in Engineering / Fire and Safety.
• Diploma in Safety Management (DipSM) and/or NEBOSH/IOSH diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 years experience.
• Minimum 7 years experience at managerial level.
• Strong management and interpersonal skills with experience in training and motivating a diverse range of staff compliment.
• Excellent leadership, command and control skills.
• Excellent planning, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Works well in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written English.
