Wahat Al Karama opens door to National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC)

A senior Emirati delegation from the National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), a Senaat portfolio company, visited Wahat Al Karama to pay tribute to the martyrs on Tuesday, 25th of April.

Wahat Al Karama is a permanent memorial to commemorate and honour UAE heroes, who sacrificed their lives in the service of UAE. The Delegation included Engg. Aqeel A. Madhi, Chief Executive Officer and Engg. Ahmed A. Al Dhaheri, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, members of the management team and senior Emirati employees.

Visitor services received the delegation and took them for a tour of the monument. They saw “The Memorial”, a structure made up of 31 leaning pieces, symbolising mutual support, unity and solidarity that binds the nation together. These leaning tablets also have poems, verses and pledge of allegiance engraved on them. 

Delegation visited “The Pavilion of Honour”, with names of martyrs on circular internal wall on panels of metal from Armed Forces vehicles. Central structure of 7 glass panel with pledge of allegiance represents each Emirate of the UAE.

Engg. Aqeel A. Madhi, Chief Executive Officer, said “We are indebted to brave Emiratis who have made sacrifices in service of the nation. We stand behind our wise leadership and this visit to the memorial has deepened the meaning of our sovereignty.”
